Restoring True Worship
As
we've learned, God designed us to worship him alone.
And yet we've chosen to doubt him and seek other means of filling our
natural need for meaning.
We rely on, even worship ourselves. We lord our power
and privilege over others, especially those who are "different" from
us in gender, ethnicity, or social status. We fearfully grasp after material
goods. Tonight, let's return to God in true worship and,
through Jesus'
sacrifice, to holiness that restores our intimacy with
him.

| The Called to be Holy video asks:
Is our worship always pleasing to God? Are we living a double standard
before God? "Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? Those who have clean hands and pure hearts
" (Psalm
24:3-4a)
