New Year's EveCommunion Service
Urbana
worshippers ushered in 2001 with a communion celebration
that simply rocked the Assemby Hall - there is no better way to put it.
The service
began with Marta Bennett, a missionary professor in Nairobi,
Kenya, who reminded us that communion celebrates the "ultimate eminence of God's love for us." She welcomed us to a feast "hosted by God." The
entire assembly then partook of the communion elements,
while quietly singing songs of praise to God. Thereafter, we entered into
a joyous
time of worship that gave us a peek at heavenly worship.
As the minutes counted down to the New Year, believers praised God with
rising volume
and intensity. The experience was truly extraordinary.
No descriptions can do justice to the awesomeness of lifting up the name
of Jesus with
20,000 other extremely energized believers. Just click
