How
do I apply to exhibit at Urbana 03?
If your organization meets the following criteria please email your mission
statement, purpose statement, and a contact name and phone number to
exhibitorinfo@ivcf.org, place
"New Exhibitor Info - your organization name} in the subject heading.
You can also mail your organization’s
information to Urbana 03 Exhibit, PO Box 7895, Madison WI, 53711. You
will receive a confirmation email message of your inquiry.
Criteria
for exhibitors
We will begin to post new organizations on the urbana.org website soon.
Organizations will be screened according to the criteria below.
We use the following considerations in screening mission* agencies:
- Does the agency train its missionaries spiritually, relationally, culturally and promote diversity?
- Does the agency demonstrate partnership with indigenous churches and local Christian organizations?
- Does the agency demonstrate partnership with North American churches and mission agencies?
- Does the agency offer some short-term mission programs (4 week and under, and 1-2 year options), in addition to long-term ministry opportunities?
- Does the agency demonstrated ability to provide follow-up relationships, mentoring and guidance to new affiliates?
- Would InterVarsity staff feel comfortable with students serving with this agency?
- If non-North
American based, does the agency have a North American affiliate who
can meet all of the above considerations?
*agency engages in cross-cultural ministry
We use the following considereations in screening educational programs:
- Does the graduate school or seminary provide accredited degree programs in one or more of the following: urban studies, cross cultural ministry, or missiology?
- Does the graduate school or seminary provide practical training programs (such as language schools or distance education programs) which prepare students for cross cultural ministry?
- Would InterVarsity staff feel comfortable with students attending this institution?
When and where will the applications be available to
new exhibitor applicants?
If, after reviewing your purpose and mission statements, we find that
your organization meets the criteria, the Exhibit Administrator will
contact you with instructions on how to access the online application.
How
soon will I find out if my agency or school was accepted to be an exhibitor?
Applications will be reviewed on a monthly basis. We will give a "yes",
"no" or "hold" response to your application within
30 days of the date we receive it from you.
What does my organization receive as an exhibitor at Urbana 03?
- Ability to exhibit at Urbana 03 and present your organization to 20,000 delegates
- Exposure to people using the urbana.org website
- Opportunity to post job openings in the urbana.org website in MSearch
- Opportunity to review resumés posted on the urbana.org website in MSearch by individuals seeking ministry opportunities
