Jim TebbeJim Tebbe
Urbana Director

Background: Born in Pakistan, son of Presbyterian missionaries (father a college principal, Chemistry PhD). Have worked the last 25 years overseas with Interserve in Bangladesh, Jordan, Pakistan and since 1986 Cyprus where I was first Area Director West (Muslim countries), and International Director of Interserve since 1992. My lifelong call is to missions and to the Muslim world.

What I love about working for Urbana: I love missions, I love the people I work with on the Urbana team and I love the event!

A favorite book, movie or place: I loved the movie Forrest Gump. I love the Cotswolds in England (near Oxford) but even more the Himalayan mountains, of Nepal, India and Pakistan. Book - hmm. I enjoy travel logs. "Danziger's Travels" is very good. I liked An Unexpected Light by Jason Elliott (travels in Afghanistan), Eric Newby's classic A Short Walk in the Hindu Kush is one of the few light reading books I have read twice.

"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and truth."

John 4:23,24 (NIV)
