Kathryn BellKathryn Bell
Associate Director Communications

I have a background in communications, marketing and public relations; and worked for two professional service firms before joining InterVarsity. I was active as a leader in the IV chapter on my university campus when I was a student and those experiences have had a lasting impact on my life, values and passions. I have attended Urbana both as a student and as a volunteer. Learning what God is doing in the world at Urbana opened my eyes to his global mission and love for all people. His love in my life has given me the ability to love others from different nationalities and backgrounds. My international friends have truly enriched my life and broadened my horizons, and it is such a joy to share the good news of the gospel with them.

I am enjoying my work at Urbana because I know it will make a lasting impact on other's lives. The Urbana team is terrific - a joy to work with - and each member brings unique skills and talents. I count it an extraordinary privilege now to be "behind the scenes" of the incredible work God is doing through the Urbana Convention.

Going to the theater is a treat for me. My favorite musicals are "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and "Les Miserables." One of my favorite movies is "Green Card." I enjoy eating out, but as a native Southerner, I must say there's nothing better than good southern home cookin', like okra, fried chicken and banana pudding!

"Ascribe to the LORD, O families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength, ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name. Bring an offering and come before him; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness."

1 Chronicles 16:28 -29 (NIV)
