Ray Aldred,
Urbana Speaker

Director
First Nations Alliance Churches of Canada, Cree Nation

Ray Aldred was born in Northern Alberta, Canada and is a member of the Cree people of Treaty Eight, Swan River Band. He serves as co-chair of the Aboriginal Task Force of the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada. He is also on the board for the North American Institute for Indigenous Theological Studies (NAIITS), and South Saskatchewan Independent Living Centre (SILC). In 1996 he was elected director of the First Nations Alliance Churches of Canada, where he ministers to this day. He received a B.A. from Canadian Bible College and an M.A. from Canadian Theological Seminary. He has been a pastor since 1991.

In his free time, Ray enjoys reading and writing. He is interested in student missions because the “young people keep the old people alive.” The future hope that young people bring to reaching a lost world with God’s power is the motivating factor in Ray’s support of student missions.
