This seminar will cover the basics of HIV epidemiology and biology and then focus on HIV treatment with a focus on antiretroviral drugs. Specific topics to be covered include the impact and limitations of treatment, the role of treatment in the bigger picture of global HIV/AIDS and missions, and the future of treatment.
Caring for People with AIDS
What is like to actually care for people with HIV/AIDS day-to-day? This seminar will provide stories and experiences from people taking care of persons with HIV/AIDS both domestically and internationally.
Working with Drug Users to Address AIDS
HIV/AIDS and drug use have always been strongly linked, particularly in the United States. This seminar will present the stories of people with both a history of drug use and HIV with a focus on understanding both how the two are connected and ways to minister to drug users with HIV/AIDS.
