Brenda Salter McNeil is a gifted communicator who has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the area of racial and ethnic reconciliation. She is a spiritually dynamic speaker whose biblically based messages raise awareness, ignite vision, and inspire action in those who hear her speak on college and university campuses, in churches and at conferences. Dr. McNeil earned her B.A. from Rutgers University, a M. Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a D. Min. from formerly named Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, now Palmer Theological Seminary.

For the past 20 years Dr. McNeil has distinguished herself as an outstanding leader in the field of racial and ethnic reconciliation. She served on the staff of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship as the Regional Coordinator of Multiethnic Training. In 1995, in response to her growing passion for authentic race relations, Dr. McNeil founded Overflow Ministries, Inc., a nonprofit, faith based organization devoted to the ministry of racial reconciliation. She continues this work through Salter McNeil & Associates, LLC, a racial and ethnic reconciliation training, consulting and leadership development company based in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. McNeil is also the coauthor of the book The Heart of Racial Justice: How Soul Change Leads to Social Change, published by InterVarsity Press.
