Darla: Urbana '96 was a life changing! Before Urbana, I wanted to do missions yet I was interested in linguistics. At Urbana, Jacqueline Higgins talked about her experiences with Wycliff Bible translators. Wow, Linguistics and Missions, combined to be a thrilling, God-centred career, right on the front lines of the mission field. That night, I signed a commitment card to pursue a career in Bible Translation. Since then I have attended the first session of Wycliff's SIL program,in Spring 2000 I will have completed my linguistics degree. I will be attending TWU to attain my Masters in Linguistics and Exegesis.
