Jim:  As a shy, fearful freshman from the University of Kansas I attended the 1948 Missionary Convention. I was a "religious" kid, but before that time I had not understood what it really meant to belong to Jesus Christ. I don't understand what happened that week except that God seemed to put his hand on me, and mylife has never been the same since. I became excited about knowing Jesus, and now 52 years later the excitement is still there. 12/28/00
