Ashley:  On the second night of Urbana 06 I received a call with news that my grandmother (who had always lived with our family) had passed away. My heart was broken, and I was ready to fly back to Ontario, but after praying I realized that Urbana was an amazing opportunity to learn about God, missions, and myself. Although it was difficult, I chose to miss my grandmother's wake but was home in time for the burial. I do not regret the amazing experience I had at Urbana. I have been motivated to live a life truly worthy of God's calling. 12/27/08

""You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.""

Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV)
