| Tar Timothy: I grew up in Taiwan. By the grace of God, I was granted a full scholarship to study statistics at the University of Chicago starting in 1967. In December of 1967, I attended the Urbana convention. At that time I was still seeking God. I listened to John Stott and also bought the book, Basic Christianity. That book explained the central themes of Christianity in such clear and convincing way. After reading that book, I asked Jesus to come into my heart. I worked in medical research for thirty years and am now a pastor of a Chinese church.
