Following Christ 08
by Jim TebbeIf you have attended Urbana and have felt the call of God on your life, you may be wondering how you can take a next step.
I can't think of a better follow-up to Urbana than InterVarsity's third Following Christ Conference being held in Chicago December 27-31, 2008. Its roots are in Urbana and grew out InterVarsity's desire to have an Urbana that was for those who have graduated from college, are just entering the work force, are young professionals or are pursuing graduate degrees.
This conference is for you. I urge you to come and join 1,000 others who are in a similar place in life. Take a step in better understanding how you can flourish as a Christian and as a part of God's purposes in the world where you are now.
Urbana called you to commit. Following Christ will call you be what God intends you to be after you have made that commitment. And what's more, it will give you tools to help you. The line-up of tracks and speakers is the most impressive that I have seen in a conference. Because it is smaller conference and more focused you will have personal access to these great Christian leaders, writers and thinkers.
Following Christ is a world class event but it does not happen on a regular schedule like Urbana does. The work has been done. An unrivaled program is in place. And all you have to do is come!
