Missions Speaker Ideas and Topics

by Rich Henderson

Write to a variety of mission agencies to get a list of possible speakers available in your area. Do not forget to add pastors and other lay people you may know in your area to your list. When asking someone to speak on missions, consider giving them a choice of several topics. You do not always have to give them a specific mission topic. A number of topics with stories from their missions experience woven in may be just as effective in bringing missions alive in your group. Always leave time for your speakers to answer questions and maybe go out with members for a coke or coffee afterwards. The more interaction members have, the more real the missionary becomes.
