Day Thirty-Six - September 7
Read 2 Peter 3:3-14
Think Imagine God creating everything with a word at the beginning of history. Imagine God destroying everything with a word at the end of history. What feelings do those images evoke in you? Why? Write about it in your urbana.org MyJournal (free login required).
Respond Worship the lord for who He reveals Himself to be in this passage. Pray for two or three people by name who have not repented and found peace with God through Jesus. Ask God to speak His word of life to them now. Ask God how He wants to use you to do that!

Day Thirty-Seven – September 8
Read 1 John 1:5-2:6
Think Use your imagination to "see" this passage as a picture of "light" and "darkness." What or who is in the light? What or who is in the darkness? Why?
Respond Confess anything that's keeping you in the dark. Tell God the truth about your sin. Thank God for everything we have because of Jesus! Ask Jesus to teach and empower you how to walk like He did.

Day Thirty-Eight – September 9
Read Jude 14-25
Think What are you waiting for? As you think about your life's choices and direction, and as you hear the words that come from your mouth, what is revealed as the real focus or goal of your life? What have you been learning about "building yourself up in faith"? About "praying in the Holy Spirit"? About "keeping yourself in God's love"? Write about it in your urbana.org MyJournal.
Respond Worship God for who He reveals Himself to be in vs. 24-25. Thank Him for these purposes He is fulfilling in your life.

Day Thirty-Nine – September 10
Read Revelation 22:1-7
Think Imagine this scene. Why do you think the angel showed all this to John? Why do you think John was instructed by God to write this down for us?
Respond Pray "Come, Lord Jesus" (Rev. 22:20). Ask Him to come again in the flesh to bring about the healing, the life and the reign promised in these verses. Ask Him to come now, by His Spirit, to bring about all the things He's shown you during this 40 day prayer experience.

Day Forty – September 11
Review Look back over the 40 days: What prayers has God answered? Has He done more than you asked? Thank Him! Who have you seen God to be? Has He shown Himself to be more than you even imagined? Worship Him! How have you experienced God's power at work within you? How have you and those around you changed? Praise Him!
Report Throughout Biblical history and the history of the Church, God's people have given testimony to the immeasurable power of God at work in them by telling their stories of encounters with God. Just as God's history with Israel, the life of Jesus with his disciples, and the work of the Holy Spirit in the early church have been written down for the benefit of others, so our journey with the Lord in prayer as a congregation can be recorded for the benefit others. You can give a tangible testimony of your 40 day experience which can encourage others. Write it in your urbana.org MyJournal or anywhere else useful to you.
- List any prayers answered during these 40 days, not a detailed account of requests, but simply a list of answers. For example:
- Note any themes in prayer that emerged for you during these days.
- Record what you learned about prayer or a brief description of how your prayer life has changed through this experience.
- Share these with one other person, with your small group, or on the Urbana.org Discussion area. Thank the Lord together for all He's done and for who He's shown Himself to be.
- broken relationship restored
- renewed love for Scripture
- sister healed of cancer
- neighbor became a follower of Jesus

Do you really believe that?
Then don't stop asking or imagining. Get ready - this 40 day experience has ended, but God's power hasn't. God is going to keep on doing more than you ask Him to or even imagine is possible! He is going to keep on getting glory in the Church - and in your church - in each generation until Jesus returns.
