are open to considering long-term service among the urban poor.
There are many very excellent programs for those interested more generally in missions. This one is reserved for a handful of students wanting to explore Christian mission in the midst of urban poverty.
Please note the following instructions before submitting your on-line application.
- You should indicate a second and third preference in case your first choice trek is full.
- Please be candid. You are not trying to "sell yourself" but you are including us in on your discernment process. Together we are asking the Lord, "Is this the right place for you this summer?"
- Please print and sign the release form on the last page of the application and send it to the address indicated along with a $50 non-refundable application fee. Sorry, but we do not accept credit card payments for this fee. This fee will be applied to your account upon acceptance. Note that the fee doubles on March 1. After April 1, you may still apply only with the permission of the Trek director of the city where you would like to go.
- You will receive a confirmation that your application was received shortly after you submit it. Your application will be sent on to the program director who will get back to you after your references, application fee and release are received. Please be patient to hear back from him or her. They are processing numerous applications.
- We are sorry, but the online application can not be saved. So wait to fill it out until you will have enough time to complete it in one sitting.
