ABRAHAM LINCOLN : The Man & His Faith
Owen, Frederick G.
Tyndale House, 1987
232 pages

This book is short enough for busy folks to digest, and unlike many biographies of Lincoln it deals with his faith. His faith came alive under the pressures of leading a nation in crisis. Owen examines Lincoln’s “Ten Guidelines,” which include reflections on thrift, balance of rights, class and responsibility. The book overlooks Lincoln’s weaknesses and errors but is a good contribution and enjoyable read.
