GOOD INTENTIONS ASIDE : A Manager’s Guide to Resolving Ethical Problems
Nash, Laura
Harvard Business School Press, 1990
259 pages

Nash proposes a covenantal ethic for managers that emphasizes (1) value creation, (2) profit as a byproduct, not a motive, and (3) relationships (customer, coworker and shareholder). She shows managers how to get back in touch with their commonsense standards of integrity. A text used in business ethics classes, it offers valuable insight into some of the problems in our modern business mentality, which is now creeping into other fields. Not from a religious perspective.
