This book is a case study of St. Mark’s Church on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The church uses the senior minister’s six-month sabbatical to experiment with methods of shared ministry. Some worked, some didn’t. The study includes excerpts of letters between pastor and congregation about the new opportunities for growth and the new perspectives each was gaining during the sabbatical. Includes a study guide.
