On a scale from one to ten, this book gets an eleven. Emerson and Forbes have done Christians a tremendous service by explaining in simple terms “What You Need to Know About the New [Computer] World We Live In” (subtitle). They take a positive view of the “exciting and fascinating world of computers,” while warning of the psychological and philosophical dangers it poses to the Christian worldview. The book provides a descriptive overview of the field of computers and a theoretical analysis of computer-brain comparisons. Prophetic; substantive and accessible. A must read.
