Kelba, a white priest in a black church, faced his prejudice and fears and, with only a mustard seed of faith, turned to his parish and asked for their help. He listened to their suggestions, uncovered their talents and led them as their servant. Their vision statement reads, “to become the heart and center of the community.” They became just that, spawning a child development center, a community credit union and other social services.
