Africa Inland Mission's vision for our next few years of ministry is to declare the Glory of God to the peoples of Africa. Our ministry thrusts include compassionately working with the victims of AIDS; working with those blinded by Islam; reaching the unreached; discipling believers; training leaders; confronting the challenges of war, civil strife, and urban growth; medical,and ministering to children.

Qualifications for Applicants
Evidence of rebirth and a leading of the Lord towards missionary service. Appropriate academic and recognized Bible training. Desire and ability to witness and help immature believers grow.Adaptability and willingness to work under authority.

Application and Candidacy Process
Return a preliminary questionnaire;fill out short term application (short term only); interview; pastor's reference required; other references; formal application (full term only)attend candidate week; attend short-term orientation (short-term only)

Training Program
Full Term: Candidate Week; Africa Based Orientation which is a three week orientation held in Africa; on field induction which includes home stay and language learning. Short Term: three day orientation before departure to Africa

Funding
Support raised from various churches and individuals.

This agency invites:

  • Non-English speaking candidates (Mission business conducted in English but many members are non native English speakers)
  • Non-North American Candidates (They would be processed through a different sending unit of AIM)
  • Those who practice ?charismatic? gifts such as prophecy, speaking in tongues, healing prayer, etc.
  • Divorced candidates (We have a few exceptions which we would speak with the individual about)
