Vision
Our misison at Children's Relief International is to take Christ to the poor by awakening and enabling his people. We use the phrase "take Christ" because wherever he went, people were taught, saved, healed, and freed. It is no different today. We target for our work "the poor," meaning those who suffer from stubborn poverty that has been rooted in place for generations. We deliver our aid to them through partnerships with national leaders, a strategy we believe is important for the 21st century. We believe part of our task is to "awaken" our fellow Americans to the existence of the poor and our responsibility for them. We enable those who have heard Christ calling to give and go and serve.
Staff
2 full time employees inside North America.
30 field personnel outside North America.
Missions Opportunities
Training Program
We base our training in an operational handbook which combines both a philosophy of ministry with a hands-on discussion of how we work and what to expect from missionary service. Our in-house training is supplemented by MTI's Splice and Pilat programs in Colorado Springs.
Because our mission is project oriented, and all our projects are directed by native leaders, missionary placement is highly flexible. Missionaries can come and go without disrupting the work. We are able to offer flexible personal involvement at our projects ranging from one month a year up to a full time presence.
