Qualifications for Applicants
Basic - four year degree, theological education appropriate to the position, vocational preparation pertinent to the assignment
Application and Candidacy Process
Career - application, three references, home church letter of recommendation, interviews, trip to location of prospective assignment
Associate - application, three references, home church letter of recommentation, interviews
Partner - application, three references, home church letter of recommendation, contract with partnering agency/institution
Volunteers - application, three references, interviews/conversations, church letter of recommendation, assignment description and request from field staff.
Interns - application, three references, home church letter of recommendation, interviews.
Training Program
We have a one week intensive orientation for all personnel. More extensive orientation is provided to long term missionaries through out-sourcing.
Funding
For career and associates: denominational support (40% of total), individual and congregational (60%). Partners may receive funding from the school where they teach and usually must raise all additional support which we process without an administrative fee. Some also receive grant funding
Demographics & Policies
This agency invites:
- Graduating international students to work in their home country (International students can return to their home country to work with an agency in that country that works in partnership with CRWM.)
- Those who practice ?charismatic? gifts such as prophecy, speaking in tongues, healing prayer, etc. (Our denomination just adopted (2009) a report on third wave Pentecostalism that allows for the practice of charismatic gifts under some circumstances. The report is thorough.)
