MSearch Compassion Connection

Founded in 1997

Vision
Compassion Connection exists to take the gospel message to the people of Ecuador and to disciple followers of Christ from both Spanish and English speaking countries. We accomplish this through our International Bible School that trains up Ecuadorian leaders and pastors, our church planting emphasis, and "Potter's Wheel," a six-month missions training program for English speakers from other countries. We also host short term teams thorough "Missions 101: Boot Camp" which is a two week crash course in cross cultural mininstry for English speakers.

Staff
0 full time employees inside North America.
7 field personnel outside North America.

Training Program
New Staff - If no formal missions training, new staff members are required to go through our "Potter's Wheel" program which trains in Bible, God's mission in the world, Outreach, and Spiritual growth. Daily hands on experience in missions ministry with assigned mentor. If new staff member has formal missions training, they are teamed with a mentor that guides them through the process of cultural adjustment, language learning, staff expectations, community life, and outreach. Interns - (three months to one year stay) Prerequisite: approved training (Potter's Wheel, Bible School, etc); may come to fulfill foreign field internship from Bible School. Work side by side with one or more staff members on predetermined projects. Daily involvement with local missions work. Weekly meeting with missions mentor. Monthly trips into the Amazon jungle for hands on training with both believers and unreached villages targeted for the gospel.
