Basic Qualifications:
1.Mature Christian committed to serving and following Christ.

6.Able to nurture own faith in a sometimes isolated environment.

9.Able to submit to the direction and supervision of management staff.
10.Must be highly flexible and open to changes in the position or work as circumstances dictate

Application and Candidacy Process
Position descriptions are posted and application packets are made available.
Once your application and resume is received an interview will be scheduled with home office staff.
Qualified candidates will then be scheduled for an interview with the appropriate field staff.
Once selected for placement you will work with CRWRC staff to raise your financial support and to complete necessary reference and background checks.
As a CRWRC volunteer, you will be required to attend a 2 ½ day orientation before departure. Paid staff are required to also complete orientation,the length is dependent on the position and location.
Training Program
New overseas personnel participate in an extensive orientation held in both our Canadian & US office before they go to the field, and after one year they come back again to both offices for 2 weeks. This orientation includes an introduction to CRWRC, policy and procedure, a learning of community development and partner consulting, preparation for moving, living and working overseas. Learning and orientation continues on the field for 2 years after one is hired. Volunteers participate in 2.5 days of intense pre-departure Orientation as well as on-field Training, which is varied based on length of assignment (3 weeks to 2 years). As part of the orientation process, we review principles of Community Development, what to expect in terms of Culture Shock, and how to operate with Cultural Intelligence, among other things.
Funding
All volunteer positions with CRWRC Service Learning are self funded. All paid staff positions are expected to raise support.

- Non-North American Candidates (CRWRC is constantly looking for high caliber applicants to fill internship and field staff positions. Interested applicants, who have international development education, are multilingual (e.g. Spanish, French or Portuguese) AND have experience in organizational capacity building/development, agricultural economics, community health, microfinance, literacy, or HIV AIDS programming.)
- Graduating international students to work in their home country (Yes, as long as the candidate meets the skills and qualifications required and are legally able to work in the country of service.)
