Vision
We use MUSIC MISSIONS TEAMS to ADVANCE THE GOSPEL while DEVELOPING CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP AND CHARACTER in our participants. We HELP MINISTRY ORGANIZATIONS around the world reach young people with the Gospel by providing well-trained music teams that strengthen and challenge Christians in places where they gather, and bring the light of Jesus to places where He may not be known. We DISCIPLE TEAM MEMBERS through life in Christian community, service within a global network of established partnerships, and quality training that emphasizes spiritual formation, servanthood, character growth & leadership development.

Staff

69 field personnel outside North America.

Qualifications for Applicants
Applicants must be musically excellent, servant-postured, possessing mature relational skills, and able to demonstrate and articulate Christ's message of salvation in diverse capacities.

Application and Candidacy Process
Three references, a musical audition, and a written interview process are required. A committee meets on applicants as all materials are received. Acceptances are made on a rolling basis once due process has been made through prayer and consideration.

Training Program
We train each team in basic evangelism, cultural awareness and sensitivity, servant posture, principles of personal spiritual formation, practical skills for being both a band and a ministry team, and, of course... a lot of music! Training for our short-term ministry (summer) teams takes place at our headquarters in Minnesota and runs for two intense weeks prior to the teams' international departure. Training for our year-long ministry teams includes three weeks of initial training at our headquarters in Minnesota followed by two additional weeks of "on the road" training around the Midwest. Additional periods of training continue throughout the year, both in Minnesota and on the field. Intentional debriefing occurs throughout the course of each of our ministry programs. We also conduct specific debriefing at de-commissioning and re-entry.

Funding
Much of their direct expenses are covered in individual support raising that is required for each involvement. The organization does additional fundraising as well.
