| sherie: (06/01/00) I wanted to know if Urbana is for students only? I am a nurse practitioner and am very interested in missions. I believe the work I do now is missions (here in the US) but God has directed my heart outward--yet not to a specific country! Is Urbana a good place for me to find out about places for me to serve in medicine?

| Jack: Dear Sherie: Thanks for your note. The Urbana Convention is primarily focused at university students, but is by no means limited to them. I would strongly encourage you to consider attending. There is no better place that I know of where you could "find out about places for me to serve in medicine." You will encounter representatives of over 300 mission agencies, many of which are looking for nurse practitioners with a call to mission. Even if you didn't end up applying to one of these agencies the experience of attending the Convention will broaden your vision, allow you to meet many who have the same interest you have, and give you a much better grasp of what God is doing in the world today.
