I view my entrance into the legal profession as a mission field, but I am wondering how attendance at Urbana may enrich my understanding of my calling. More specifically, how can I integrate my passion in environmental stewardship, law, and international missions? Thanks, |
| Jack: Jarling, I agree with you that your passions should intersect with your calling to be a healthy Christian! At Urbana 03 you will find that the public presentations will be sensitive both to the environment as well as the international aspect of missions. "Law", of course, would be more specialized. You might want to check out the International Justice Mission's website (www.ijm.org). They will have an exhibit at the Convention. Their whole focus is on using the law to enforce justice on behalf of forced workers and underage prostitutes. Review the Seminars that will be offered (http://www.urbana.org/u2003.seminars.cfm). You'll note quite a few on Social Justice. There will be so very much to choose from. Review the options as carefully as you can. The week will fly by! Jack |
