I've heard God tells us through signs, what we need to do,
I want to know how does one find out what are these signs,
i cant make out,
half my life has gone through misery,
i'm extremely broken,
please tell me what do u think,

| Jack: I don’t know who encouraged you to look to “signs.” It is true that individuals in the Bible, like Gideon (Judges 6:37) have asked for a sign which God graciously gave him. However, more commonly the Lord expects us to obey the basic principles He has given us through the 10 commandments and the teachings of the prophets, Jesus, and the apostles, all in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament, the Bible. Paul also mentioned that whereas the Jews “demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom” (1 Corinthians 1:22), he presented the basic message of Jesus crucified for our sins.
I would encourage you to lay your concerns before the Lord in prayer, continue faithfully reading the Scripture consecutively and systematically each day, and ask your pastor to help you understand how to relate the problems of your life with what you are reading. God will guide you, if you seek Him. If you need a sign, He will give you one, but He doesn’t encourage us to seek for signs, rather to be faithful in what He has given us already.
