mario : (06/21/06) Hi Jack,,,i would like to go to Urbana this december,i am from Honduras i am in 6year of medical school,it is very xpensive the airfare,i am saving money and praying God will supply all,i've read that there is a fund in Urbana that some people who want to help to students to go,they can do it,what can i do to apply to this scholarship,,i am soory for asking this kind of things,i know that a lot of students are in the same situation that i am,i pray GOD that touch the hearts of a lot people who have the money to help,lov in Jesus'Christ,,mariovillatoro

Jack: Hi, Mario:

At one time the Urbana Student Mission Convention had generous scholarships for students from other countries. However, the policy has changed, and at the present time the few scholarships for students from outside the U.S. are channeled through student groups affiliated with IFES (in Latin America, CIEE - La Comunidad International de Estudiantes Evangelicos).

If you are a member of a student group affiliated with the CIEE, talk to your staff worker and ask him or her to recommend you for a scholarship.

In April of 2009, the Mexican student group (COMPA) will be hosting a Mission Conference for Mexico and Central America. They are expecting 1,000 students to participate. This might be even more relevant for you to attend.
