| sarah jin: (10/21/07) How can I get God's attention so that the big image, one of the biggest buddha can be bombed or removed from HK Dayushan? For the lord has said if the idols, buddhas are not broken and removed, human will not be live in holiness and stand on holy ground in front of enemies. Lord hear thy servant's uttermost prayer that this huge piece of unholy buddha will be removed or bombed and be sent to the Pacific ocean nearby and people in this neighborhood will be live in holiness. In the name of Jewah, the warrior and lord ,almighty, hear thy children's prayer.

| Jack: Christian missionaries have often been tempted to destroy the idols of those to whom they are witnessing. (Perhaps one of the more famous illustrations of this is the British missionary Boniface who evangelized among the Saxons on the Continent and to show the power of God cut down a famous oak tree sacred to the thunder-god, Thor, and constructed a chapel out of the wood!) The limitation of this action is that it may remove the physical symbol but doesn't touch the beliefs of the people.
The prophets called upon the people to tear down the idols they had built. Luke records (Acts 19:19) the action of those who had been converted from sorcery who burned their scrolls worth an immense amount of money. Thus, I would encourage you not to pray for the removal of the buddha, but for the conversion of those who worship it. Jack |
