| Joel: (04/12/07) Greetings Jack, I am currently doing a research paper on Christianity and the many groups and denominations that call themselves Cristians. I would like some advice as to how i can send a clear message of Crist in my paper and at the same time explain and clarify the different demonimations and their doctrines. Feel free to make any comments!

| Jack: Christians as we find them described in one of the "official" documents of the Church - namely the New Testament. Unless you are writing a doctoral dissertation you will have to limit your review. I would suggest you read the Book of Acts and focusing especially on the description of the churches in Jerusalem, Antioch, and Asia Minor, describe the following:
- What did the early Christians believe about Jesus?
- How did they relate to each other.
- What was their message to the world around them?
Once you have developed answers to these questions, you could then use these patterns as a basis on which to compare and contrast some of the many groups and denominations that call themselves Christians, all of which in one way or another, emerged through time from the foundations we see in Acts. Since the early Christians had a very "clear message of Christ" you can stress this while showing that this message has either remained the same or been disfigured over time by different groups. Just a suggestion. Pray about what you plan to do and I'm sure the Lord will lead you. I trust it will be a stimulating study. Jack |
