| Ted: (05/11/07) Hi Jack,
I believe God has given us some very good discipleship materials. I have used them in India with good response.
What are your suggestions as to how they can be introduced to other mission organizations?
I am with Victorious Christian Living Int. based in Phoenix.
Thanks for your time.

| Jack: Good question, Ted. I really can't give you a very helpful answer.
I am glad that these materials were helpful in India. However, you will probably find that other agencies either have their own discipleship materials or are concerned about the whole issue of contextualization. We had a team of two foreigners and two Latins working almost full time for two years to develop discipleship modules for our university student ministry in Colombia. We have had a hard time promoting their use even to other Latin American countries! People are also wary of theological issues and values. Proabably the best way to promote them is through word of mouth and personal contact. You might write an article for the Evangelical Missions Quarterly outlining how you wrote the materials, why they have been successfully received in India, and why you think they would fit easily into other cultural contexts. You could prepare an introductory packet and send it to key field missionaries / national leaders. I'd be interested in seeing a copy! Blessings on you for your vision and hard work in producing them. May the Lord use them and guide you in promoting them. Jack |
