I feel a calling to be a counselor of others and I want to get my masters in Christian counseling. However, I don't know where to start. Unfortunately, I am not yet elegible for financial aid and college is very expensive. Please lend me some advice and word of knowledge. I love God and I feel that my calling is to help people through couseling. Thank you very much. Hope to hear from you soon!!!

| Jack: Thanks, Joel, for your inquiry regarding graduate study in Christian counseling.
I would encourage you to get in contact with Columbia International University http://www.ciu.edu/graduate/degrees/ma-cns/ I note that they have a Masters Degree in Counseling, and they approach it from a Christian perspective. They are kind, warm hearted people, and if you are a foreigner you might be able to receive a scholarship. It’s worth a try. If you find their studies are too expensive or you would find it difficult to locate in the South East, you could ask them to recommend other places. Unfortunately, as you are discovering, higher level studies are very expensive in the U.S. However, if the Lord has it for you, He’ll find a place for you! Jack P.S. You are right – Jesus is the Man! I'm glad you found Him! |
