- Work through issues of temptation and sin in your life such as sexual sin, pride, eating disorders, abuse, addiction, racism and so on
- Join a church or a campus group where you are the cultural minority
- Invest into a relationship with a person who is not like you in culture, ethnicity, or nationality
- Read a book on ethnicity and identity
- Student Training in Missions (STIM)
- If you're a new Christian, grow in fellowship with mature Christians
- Read books and articles about developing your relationship with God
