THE SCOOP ON LUCY:
Presently she is involved in promoting issues of social justice in her fellowship so as to create a more inclusive body of believers. Lucy also seeks to build bridges between Black and Asian students by serving in the Black Campus ministries at UC Davis. She meets regularly to pray with others about her calling to Africa and is part of a musical worship team. She's also participated in short-term urban mission retreats. Other activities for Lucy include singing, writing poetry, and simply conversing with others to hear about thier own experiences. She'll be bringing her love for people to the ministry of the Trek. "I believe God has given me a heart for the people," she says, "and I want to learn about their experiences first-hand and develop meaningful relationships with the people. . . I hope to gain a better understandind of what God's heart is for the world through the eyes of the people." Hometown: Richmond, California; born in Lagos, Nigeria
Most Recent Accomplishment: I received training and a banquet for participating in the MIP (Multi-Cultural Immersion Program). Passions: I have a heart for aiding oppressed people through law.
