Liz Joyal

Liz grew up in Framingham, Massachusetts before going to Boston University for a degree in English as a Second Language Education. While at BU she went on summer trips every year with BU's InterVarsity chapter to places like Guatemala, Vietnam, and the Philippines. This past summer was the first summer that Liz didn't go on a mission trip, but stayed home and got married instead! Liz and Paul met as students at BU and will be celebrating their 1st anniversary at Trek debrief on August 3rd.

Liz and Paul are currently on staff with InterVarsity at BU and live in an apartment in the middle of a neighborhood that is popular among off-campus students. They both enjoy activities like having quiet times in coffee shops, playing soccer, watching movies, and competing at Boggle. She and Paul are both passionate about evangelism and cross-cultural ministry and they are eager to see where God may lead them in the future.

Liz was first introduced to the Trek when she went as a staff member to Manila in the summer of 2001. She and Paul are excited to be a part of the Trek this year to Mexico City.
