In Living Color

Urbana 2000 delegates gathered twice daily
for Worship Gatherings in Assembly Hall.

At the Worship Gatherings, Nina Thiel, Bruce Kuhn and Jess
Delegencia dramatized Scripture.

Jimmy McGee, InterVarsity's Associate Director of Multiethnic
Ministries, served as the emcee and challenged Urbana delegates to become
a beloved community.

Susan Cho Van Riesen called students to
serve their campus mission fields.

Ken Fong was the convention's main expositor.

Worship was central to Urbana 2000. Students
from multiple cultures worshiped the Lord with one voice.

Susan Haskell worshiped the Lord through dance.

Sundee Frazier led musical worship.

Vinoth Ramachandra proclaimed that Jesus is the truth
and following him requires a life of service and suffering.

Alex Gee led the delegates in prayer during
each Worship Gathering.

Brenda Salter-McNeil shared her personal struggles with
racism and racial reconciliation and challenged this student generation
to become a generation of reconcilers.

Student delegates participated in small groups, where they
studied Scripture related to the themes of Urbana 2000 and prayed for
one another.

Barney Ford, Director of Urbana 2000, explained the Decision
Card to students, and students used the card to record the commitments
they made at Urbana.

Urbana 2000 ended with communion on New Year's Eve.
