GENERAL INFORMATION
What is Urbana? Where can I get additional information on exhibiting?
What is Urbana?
Urbana is the North American student missions convention hosted by InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Urbana 06 is the 21st Student Missions Convention. Since 1946, the convention has been held at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. This year, in order to better accommodate more attendees, Urbana 06 will take place at the Edward Jones Dome and America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri. At Urbana 06, over 25,000 students, missionaries, church leaders, and campus leaders will hear the call to participate in God’s global mission through multicultural worship & drama, Bible study, prayer, seminars, and dynamic Bible teachers and speakers. During the five-day convention, attendees can explore short-term and vocational opportunities to serve as they interact with more than 350 mission agencies serving around the world. You have a calling. Come, worship, and listen to God. Explore opportunities to step into your place in God’s global mission. Urbana 06 will be held December 27-31, 2006.

Why should I exhibit at Urbana 06?
Exhibiting at Urbana 06 puts your organization in contact with some of North America’s most motivated future missionaries and church leaders and gives you the opportunity to post jobs and review résumés on MSearch, InterVarsity’s ministry search engine. We expect 25,000 attendees this year. Building upon a sixty-year legacy of calling students into God’s mission, Urbana is a trusted name among churches and ministries around the world. Urbana 06 exhibitors play a role in shaping the direction of student involvement in missions. See Urbana 06 in Context, our guiding vision document, for more. As a part of the global missions community, your organization will be a part of what we’re calling Global Connexions.
What organizations is Urbana looking for?
Much more than a job fair, Global Connexions is about mobilizing students for the calling they receive at Urbana 06. InterVarsity wants to partner with organizations committed to training and sending people to fulfill God’s mission around the world and around the block. To provide the maximum benefit for student attendees, Urbana establishes criteria for the organizations we accept as exhibitors. This process will ensure an onsite atmosphere of partnership, which will help student attendees better discern God’s calling. Urbana 06 Exhibitor Criteria explains our requirements for organizations wishing to participate.

What should I do if I forgot my MSearch user name and password? May I work at an exhibit booth and take a volunteer job at Urbana?
What should I do if I forgot my MSearch user name and password?
Please send an email to urbanaexhibits@intervarsity.org. Include the name of your organization and your phone number. We can get you the information that you need.
May I work at an exhibit booth and take a volunteer job at Urbana?
Since volunteer job hours may conflict with exhibit hours, we ask that you not take a volunteer job. We want you to be able to give your full time and attention to your booth, so we want the exhibit to be your only responsibility while you are in St. Louis.
