THREE GREAT LEADERS OF ISRAEL
1 Chr.1:28

The genealogies in 1 Chronicles mention three great leaders in Israel’s history. By learning about these three, one can gain an overall perspective on the Old Testament era:

Abraham was the patriarch of Israel to whose descendants God promised to give the land of Canaan (see Gen. 12:1).
Moses was the leader who delivered Israel from slavery in Egypt and led them through the wilderness to the Promised Land (see Ex 2:10).

David was God’s choice for Israel’s king, under whose leadership the monarchy was established, and through whom a Messiah was promised (see 1 Sam. 16:12–13).
